  • EBB makes child's play of staycation 2012 with its Family collection of 646 B&Bs with family rooms and amenities
  • Prices start at £55 per night for a family room
  • All B&Bs are independently run – no chains allowed and bookable in real time
  • From Blackpool to Bournemouth, 30 B&Bs offer affordable holiday options for families on a budget
Enjoybedandbreakfast.com, the new travel website that specialises in independent accommodation, which can be booked securely in real time online, has launched its Family-Friendly collection, selecting 32 of the best B&Bs for families to stay in from a total of 1,462 on its site.

With prices starting at £55 per night for a family room, families feeling the financial pinch this year can still budget to get away, even if it is just for a few days. There is a wide choice of locations available too, including B&Bs on the coast in: Bournemouth, Newquay, Torquay, Swanage, Great Yarmouth and Blackpool; lake-side retreats in Keswick and Ambleside; countryside favourites in Glastonbury; and city-chic pads in York, Canterbury, Bath and Chester.

Commenting on the launch of the Family-Friendly collection, Kerry Harding, one of the founding members of Enjoybedandbreakfast.com, says: “The B&Bs that we have included in this collection know how important the right accommodation is for making a family holiday a success. From high chairs and travel cots to family rooms with bunk beds and those little-added extras that can help parents relax while away.

“The owners of these family-friendly B&Bs are also really well tuned in to their local community, so are a great source of information when it comes to recommending best places for families to go in the surrounding regions.

“Also, with many families watching the pennies again this year and the Jubilee and the Olympics making a holiday or short break in the UK a more popular option than ever before, B&Bs have a big role to play in providing an affordable, cost-effective holiday for families this year,” Kerry adds.
